The six bedrooms at The Wheatsheaf Hotel, Corbridge offer some of the most luxurious accommodation in the area. Reopened in March 2009, they have been completely refurbished to a very high standard. The new owners of the business have stripped the rooms back to bare walls and floor boards and started with a blank canvas. Using design ideas from a prominent local supplier the bedrooms are a combination of modern home comforts and country living. Each room is individually decorated with colour schemes running through walls, window dressings and bed covers. Some rooms have lovely views of the Tyne Valley, whilst others have a view of the historic Roman village of Corbridge.
All bedrooms are equipped with digital freeview flatscreen televisions, telephones and tea and coffee making facilities. The bedrooms have been finished off with Corbridge artwork from well-known local artist Eddie Tibbs.
A four poster room is available to add an extra touch to your stay, or if you are bringing the children, then interconnecting rooms and travel cots are available.
All six bedrooms are en-suite, and all of the bathrooms have been fully refurbished with the help of a well-known local bathroom supplier. Now fully tiled, each bathroom has its own individual colour scheme and brand new fixtures and fittings.
